Unfortunately I was unable to make this game today. Many thanks for this submitted report from James (FonzeDude@aol.com). Sounds like it was a good one to miss!
Yeovil Town were, to say the least, abysmal. Without Lippiatt at the helm they looked disorganised and didn't seem hungry at all. The passing was poor, they relied too much on the big boot to Wazza [just like the last few games under CL, then! - Ed].
They were not helped at all by the worst referee this season, and that's saying something. Dover scored first, poor defending left Steve Brown unmarked in the middle after a cross from Mark Hynes on the break from the right. He was then left to shoot where he wanted, Skiverton's attempt at a challenge, just like the game itself, lacking. He then fired right footed and Pennock, who had played superbly throughout the match, got a hand to it but it was deflected into the top of the net.
Yeovil equalised in the last minute, a cross from Rob Cousins met with a spectacular diving header from second half sub Adrian Foster into the bottom right hand corner.
A section of Yeovil fans voiced their opinions about Lippiat and Fry, the latter less complimentary. [see also the survey results for opinions on Messrs Lippiatt and Fry - Ed]
