With one point from the last twelve, the Yeovil decline is worrying. And this was no narrow defeat, it was really quite comprehensive. Yeovil hardly threatened throughout the game.
Like last week's match against Dover, cartaker boss Steve Thompson elected to start with no recognised full-backs in those positions; Murray Fishlock remains injured, David Piper was left on the bench, and Jamie Pitman pushed up into midfield. Pitman did, however, get the right-back rôle in unfortunate circumstances when an early knock to the head saw the end of Rob Cousins' game.
Yeovil managed two efforts in the first half, a free-kick from Lee Archer that was well-saved by Tim Clarke, and a good move which saw a near-post effort from Jason Eaton saved after he latched onto a promising cross from Matt Stowell.
Eaton was paired up front with on-loan striker Charlie Griffin, signed from Swindon; top scorer Warren Patmore was on the bench, and not used this afternoon. Neither really had much chance, the ball rarely found its way through to them.

Kidderminster's 1-0 half-time lead came courtesy of a 26th minute strike from the excellent Mark Druce. Yeovil lost the ball after two team-mates got in eachother's way, it was played wide to Ian Foster whose cross left Druce with a tap-in.
Yeovil did look sharper at the start of the second half, getting Griffin more involved in the game, but this revival soon fizzled as Kidderminster exploited Yeovil's weakness at the back ot knock in another three during the second period. When attempting to break away, Yeovil were caught offside too often again; a look at the stats for the Conference shows the Glovers way clear in the 'offsides' table.
The tally could have been more, but for a few good saves from Tony Pennock. He was beaten for Kidderminster's second when a neat passing move on the edge of the area put Craig Hinton in behind the defence, and he finished with ease. The fourth goal was not dissimilar, being put away by Paul Webb.

Between those two goals, Ian Foster put away a penalty after Chris Sparks fouled Mark Druce as they went up for a corner.
At the other end, there was one Yeovil effort of note; Jason Eaton really should have scored with a header, but Tim Clarke stopped the ball right on the line.
With Kingstonian up next, there's going to have to be a great improvement if Yeovil are to get anything from that game. Still, poor performance or not, I found the abuse thrown at a few team members after the game to be out of order.
