The 96/97 ICIS Championship Season

Paul Gothard punches clear for the home side in Yeovil's match at Dagenham & Redbridge on 25th January 1997. Gothard is one of the top non-league goalkeepers, and has represented England at semi-pro level on a number of occasions. In this game, he saved two penalties from Dean Birkby (No. 10). Birkby did score a spectacular volley, however, to give Yeovil a good away victory.
This was Yeovil's only league game in January, due to a combination of bad weather and FA Trophy commitments.
