yeovil in europe - the anglo-italian competition 1977

back to the anglo-italian tournament index page

parma

The city of Parma, the birthplace of Verdi and Toscanini, is on the River Po. The club had a mixed history, dropping right down into the fourth division in Italy after a successful period in the 50s came to an end.

The club reorganised under a new name, starting almost from scratch in the regional leagues, and resumed that Parma name as the fortunes improved in the 70s.

Manager: Dr Tito Corsi

Squad: Turella, Zecchina, Verdiani, Zanutto, Ferrari, Benedetto (capt), Rizzati, Colonnello, Borzoni, Carrera, Torresani.
